Terms of Service

Last updated: August 23, 2026

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of HomeTeam (the “Service”), a project- and task-management application for households. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Who can use HomeTeam

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may only use the Service with the involvement of a parent or guardian. By using HomeTeam you represent that the information you provide is accurate and that you are permitted to enter into these Terms.

2. Your account

You are responsible for the activity that happens under your account and for keeping your login credentials secure. Let us know promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without your permission. You may invite other people (for example, family members or a household) to collaborate; you are responsible for the people you invite and the access you grant them.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Break the law or infringe anyone’s rights using the Service.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service, other accounts, or our systems, or interfere with their normal operation.
  • Upload malware, or use the Service to send spam or harass others.
  • Reverse engineer, resell, or abuse the Service in a way that harms us or other users.

4. Subscriptions, billing, and refunds

HomeTeam offers free and paid plans. Paid subscriptions are billed in advance through our payment processor, Stripe, and renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless you cancel beforehand. You can cancel at any time from your account settings; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and you will keep access until then. Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable. We may change our prices, and if we do we will give you reasonable notice before the change applies to you.

5. Your content

You keep ownership of the content you create in HomeTeam — your tasks, boards, comments, and other materials (“Your Content”). You grant us the limited permission to store, process, and display Your Content solely to provide and improve the Service for you and the people you share it with. You are responsible for Your Content and for having the rights to it.

6. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or if we need to for legal, security, or operational reasons. When an account is deleted, we remove or de-identify associated data as described in our Privacy Policy, subject to any records we are required to keep.

7. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that it will meet your requirements. HomeTeam is a tool to help you organize your household; it is not a substitute for professional advice.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, HomeTeam and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or goodwill arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim or USD $100.

9. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, notify you. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the revised Terms.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules, and you and we submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located there, except where local law grants you a right you cannot waive.
